The Ash Ave Comic Book Club will be reading the first half of writer Brian K Vaughn’s run on the Marvel series Runaways, which you probably know has been adapted as a series on Hulu. This will also mark the third comic series our discussion group has read from BKV, the other two being Pride of Baghdad, and his acclaimed Vertigo series Y The Last Man. We will also continue of reading of Garth Ennis’ run on Hellblazer with volume 6 of the series and the Bloodlines story line. In April we will be reading Frank Miller’s Ronin miniseries and volume 7 of Hellblazer.
While we would usually meet the first Sunday of March, a scheduling conflict is pushing the first meeting back a week. We always begin at 6 PM, and per usual we recommend BYOB (be it beer, beverage, or BBQ). Below are our next two months of readings, and a photo and summary of March’s main title:
