Comic Book Club April Meeting: X-Men Dark Phoenix Saga + Y The Last Man vol 4

Our April meetings are just around the corner, this month we’ll be reading The Dark Phoenix Saga, Chris Claremont and John Byrne’s classic run from The Uncanny X-Men, on Sunday, April 2nd and we’ll discuss the penultimate volume of Y: The Last Man on Sunday, April 16th.

Untidy Secrets Storytelling is a monthly storytelling and zine swap event. Each month a new theme is selected from song lyrics. This month storytellers will be telling stories under the theme “A Hiccup In Your Happiness”. Each month, Storytellers interpret the theme in interesting and unexpected ways.

This event is all ages and BYOB (though, some of the storytelling has adult themes). Ash Avenue Comics & Books has some chairs available at first come first serve basis but feel free to bring your own chair or stand.


Untidy Secrets Storytelling’s goal is to encourage literature through alternative means (storytelling, small press, self publishing, zines, and more). If you’re a writer, bring your printed work to swap and connect with others. If you’re a storyteller come out and connect with other storytellers and writers.

Comic Book Club March Meeting: Maus + Y The Last Man vol 3

For our March comic book club discussion group we will be reading Art Spiegelman’s Pulizer, Eisner, and Harvey award winning comic Maus: A Survivors Tale.  We will be meeting at the shop on Sunday, March 5th at 6 PM to discus the title, we will be meeting for our ongoing discussion group on Sunday, March 19th at 6 PM to chat about Y: The Last Man vol 03.

As usual, all copies for a given month’s comic book club are 15%.
