bookclub2

Hey everyone, hope you’re enjoying the cooler “Fall” weather, and are ready for the upcoming December meeting of the Ash Ave Comics reading group.  Our pick for our December meetup is the controversial hit series (spoilers in link) Identity Crisis, a limited series written by Brad Meltzer, penciled by Rags Morales, inked by Michael Bair, and published by DC Comics in 2004.

The third meeting of the Ash Avenue Comic Book Club was held on the first Sunday of November, we discussed Jeff Lemire’s Sweet Tooth vol 01, in addition to the usual banter between attendees. At the end of the meeting, a reader’s name was chosen at random from a hat, and Kevin’s name was pulled.  Kevin chose Identity Crisis for our December 7th discussion.  Copies are in stock at the shop this week, and are all Club titles are available for 20% off of the listed price.

If you’d like to join come on into the shop and sign up. The Club meets at the shop on the first Sunday of the month to discuss a previously selected graphic novel, and club members will also choose the next month’s reading after finishing the discussion.  Our fourth meet up is scheduled for 6 PM on Sunday, December 7th.  Read the summary below for more information on Identity Crisis.
