It’s hot as hell, so it must mean we’ve finally settled into June. Whereas some cities encourage reading on cold or stormy days, here in the valley we can make the best of scorching heat by sitting with a cold drink and reading a comic or book. Our first reading group meetup of the month is The Filth, a 2004 mini-series written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Chris Weston and Gary Erskine, following that is volumes 7 and 8 of the series Sandman, by Neil Gaiman and a number of artists.
Check below for the meeting dates for the next two months, below that is the cover art and publishers’ summary of June’s titles. All discussions are on Sundays at 6PM at the shop, and the selected readings of a given month are 20% off at the shop.
Sunday, June 12th: The Filth

Sunday, July 10th: Pride of Baghdad
